ALL PENSIONS — CHANGING JOBS PENSION CHECKLIST Blank checklist. Download does not include ticks made on the website. Keep completed copies secure; do not include passwords or identity-document copies. BEFORE YOU LEAVE [ ] Keep the old scheme name, reference and official contact details somewhere secure. [ ] Save your latest statement and relevant payslips before losing access to work systems. [ ] Ask payroll when the final pension payment should reach the scheme; note any unresolved query. KEEP THE OLD RECORD IN VIEW [ ] Check that the old scheme has your current contact details and a personal email address you can access. [ ] Ask the scheme what leaving means for your membership, including any short-service rules or benefits linked to employment. [ ] Keep a dated note of questions, replies and anything still unconfirmed. Leaving a job is not the same as cashing in a pension. WHEN YOU START THE NEW JOB [ ] Ask the new employer which scheme applies, when membership starts and where to find its documents. [ ] Keep new and old scheme references separate, even if both employers use the same provider. [ ] Compare the first relevant payslip with the new scheme record; ask payroll about missing or unclear payments. Questions to follow up: ____________________________________ Reply / date / next step: ____________________________________ An administration checklist, not a recommendation to transfer, combine or leave a pension. Scheme rules and your circumstances matter; ask the scheme about your own record. General information, not financial advice.
