What it means

Old statements can help identify a provider or administrator. Read the date and the label beside each figure before recording it.

An example

“Projected annual income”, “pot value” and “transfer value” are different labels. Keep the original wording in your notes and ask the scheme if the meaning is unclear.

Use it in your pension list

Keep the term beside the original source, rather than using it to fill a gap in your knowledge. If the scheme wording is different, save the wording and ask for clarification. An unknown field is easier to correct than a confident guess.
